Giggly Pig (Romford) - Ginger & Spring Onion

Giggly Pig produce some pretty good sausages that are certainly worth a try. Some innovative flavours along with the classics...

I picked up the Ginger & Spring Onion in a recent visit over to the shop at Harold Hill, Romford. Easy to find and easy to park...that certainly makes a change to some places we visit on sausage business!

The 80% pork from Giggly Pigs own "home reared saddle back pigs" with a good amount of rusk (10%) in quality skins cooked up beautifully as expected. 

The quite fine skins worked well and tightened up to produce a sausage with a good bite. However we were a little disappointed with the flavour, the ginger was very light and the spring onion, although we could see the ingredient, sadly the taste wasn't obvious.  Good pork though.  Smooth to medium texture, with no shrinkage and minimal weight loss.

10.99 / Kg may be as we've said before a tad on the high side perhaps but these are a really well made sausage.
