Sausage Review - we review sausages

Ok an impulse buy. I saw the "New" on the packaging and just couldn't resist! Tempted by the Tesco Finest "Thai Inspired" sausages too, but that's another day...

Now the packing claims a "full of flavour" and "a warmth of sweet beechwood - smoked red peppers and a hint of garlic basil pesto", so yes or no then? Well if the truth be known these were a little disappointing flavour-wise as I was expecting a bit more garlic, a bit more smoke, and certainly more Parmigiano Reggiano cheese laden pesto than we actually tasted, but let's not dis these sausages completely as the 80% meat was very good.

The natural skins too were good and held the contents well in place. There was a very acceptable bite & chew, and the smooth to medium succulent texture was pleasing also. The colouring when cooked looked very interesting although there was bit of noticeable weight loss.

An OK sausage, there we have it, that we'd probably buy again for a family barbeque spread as the flavours were not strong, and grandma would certainly like these.
