Sargeant (Kings Lynn) - PorkAnother bag of lovely sausage samples for tasting dropped off by our friends from Kings Lynn arrived yet again! Well impressed with these from JW Sargeant of Stow Bridge...
Now don't get concerned that we obtained these sausages free of charge and as a "pressie" from our friends, our reviews are all ways honest and a true reflection of what we think of the produce.
In the raw these 70%+ (I'm sure) Norfolk Free Range porks looked well top notch, and cooked up, were extremely appetising! The natural skins were fine and although we had the odd very minor split (my error as I had the pan far too hot), the taste is what sold us on these. The texture was just under medium, and the taste was absolutely spot on. Nice spice, succulent and very very tasty! Absolutely the business with sausage and mash...excellent!
You cannot call these "plain pork" and I could go on and on about how good these sausages are, but you really need to try these yourselves...the pork & bacon, and the pork & sage that Sargeant's make are good too!
I've made a note that I need to thank our friends, Sandra & Frank, for getting these in for us, AND to get us some more of these next time they are in Stow Bridge...OK we'll pay this time, honest! .
