The butcher
(John) at M&M's Stores, Clavering
tells me these are made on site at
the store by himself to their own
recipe and flavouring. 80%
pork in natural casings.
Well, cooked up they certainly looked
very good but the taste was only OK
to be honest. I was expecting
a good honey roast hint something like
you get with ham but sadly none that
was really noticeable. The texture
was rather soft, the bite was easy
and rather moist.
Sausage eruptions at both ends were
noted of all the samples when
cooking but with minimum shrinkage,
and weight loss.
They worked OK with the family
sausage and mash, but unfortunately only an average
sausage...

100x30mm before cooking, 104x29mm after.
75g before cooking, 67g after.
That's a shrinkage of approx 0% & weight loss of approx 10%.
6 sausages in a 490g pack at £2.74 (£5.59/kg)
